Oh, and in the bottom of this post you can find a Google Maps Map overview of all the locations saved in 1 place.
Chang Phuak – North Gate Market
You can find a daily night market right next to the North Gate in Old Town Chiang Mai. This market has a lot of different stands and food for people to choose from. It’s a little bit more touristy, as it’s located almost in the Old Town, with many hotels for travelers in the vicinity.

Kalare Night Bazaar – Ploen Ruedee – Anusarn Market
These are multiple Night Markets and food courts adjacent to the same road in the same area, with a lot of shops alongside the road in around the food courts. Usually there are music performances too and people can easily spend a night out here and go to nearby shows or bars (like the Ladyboy – 6ixcret Show which is a true spectacle). This is a way more touristy area and prices tend to be higher, but it’s nevertheless good to stroll around and experience.

Kad Lang Mor (Behind Chiang Mai University)
Kad Lang Mor is the name for Market Behind University and commonly used to describe the location of this market. This market is mostly located on the side of the road, with a lof of street food, but also plenty of restaurants to choose from. There is some seating area, depending on the streetfood vendor, but a lot of food is only take-away, as student dormitories are nearby for students to bring food home. This is a nice area, with not many tourist and cheap food and drinks.
About 200-300 meters more to the west of the Kad Lang Mor location in Google Maps, there about 10-20 more streetfood sellers which all offer tables and chairs to sit. Usually only students go there, so it might be worth to have a stroll there too.
