Samoeng Loop full day trip
Adventurous trip with elephants, viewpoints and local villages behind the Don Suthep mountain!
Overview
Start in the morning from 08:30-09:00 and return in Chiang Mai around 18:00. We can meet you at your hotel / hostel or at the Mai Phare Motorbike Rental location of our partner.
We begin with a visit to a vibrant local fresh market near Chiang Mai University, where you can immerse yourself in the sights and smells of traditional Thai street food. Next, we make our way to Wat Phra Tha Doi Kham, a majestic temple perched atop a hill that offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
From there, we’ll wind through the mountains to reach areas where you can observe and interact with elephants in their natural habitat. After this unforgettable experience, we’ll continue on to a charming local village, where you can explore traditional Thai craftsmanship and learn about rural life.
Our next stop is the fire observe tower, an awe-inspiring structure situated atop a hill that offers breathtaking views of the landscape below. Be prepared for a challenging climb up the metal tower – but the reward is well worth it!
We’ll then visit a restaurant and cafe with stunning mountain views of the Samoeng province before heading to the Samoeng Viewpoint. As we make our way back to Chiang Mai, – depending on the time – we have other opportunities to stop at more locations along the route, including local markets, Merino Sheep Farm, Jungle Canopy Walk, or River Rock Cafe.
Our day-long adventure concludes with a return to Chiang Mai, expected around 6:00 PM.
