Rent a motorbike with CBTT in Chiang Mai
Rent a scooter or touring motorcycle from CBTT, or explore guided rides with its sister company Nomad Bike Tours.
Updated 27 October 2026
Classic Bike Tour Thailand, now branded CBTT Rentals, is a motorcycle rental shop near the southwest corner of Chiang Mai’s Old City. We have rented from the team ourselves and liked the bikes, the helpful welcome and the riding gear provided. Whether you want a scooter for nearby places or a touring bike for the mountain roads, this is a good local place to start.

Rent a bike and explore independently
The CBTT fleet spans scooters, lightweight trail bikes and larger motorcycles suited to longer rides. The team maintains its bikes in its own workshop. Helmets come with rentals, and CBTT lists a jacket and gloves with its big bikes. Their website shows the latest models and rental options.
Chiang Mai makes a brilliant starting point for a ride. You could set out on the shorter Samoeng Loop, spend several days on the Mae Hong Son Loop, or take a longer route toward the Golden Triangle. CBTT also offers luggage and motorcycle storage, useful when your journey includes time away from the bike.

Guided rides with Nomad Bike Tours
If you would rather join a planned motorcycle trip, CBTT’s sister company Nomad Bike Tours (NBT) runs the guided rides. NBT offers single-day routes around Chiang Mai as well as multi-day journeys through Northern Thailand, including Mae Hong Son and Nan. Its longer trips also reach into Laos. The tour company organises the route, guide, motorcycle and trip arrangements, while CBTT remains the place to rent a bike for your own independent ride.
You can browse NBT’s rides and tour details to see what appeals to you, from a day in the hills to a longer journey across the north.
