Free Yoga at Nong Buak Haad Park

A vibrant Old City park with free yoga, other community activities, and plenty happening around sunset.

Updated 19 October 2026

Nong Buak Haad Park is a vibrant park near the southwest corner of Chiang Mai’s Old City. People come here to walk, exercise, meet friends, join activities, or sit by the pond with a drink. The pavilion and open areas host yoga and other community sessions, and events take place when they are organised.

Yoga at the park

Free yoga and related activities often take place around the pavilion in the morning. For the latest sessions and updates, visit the Yoga in the Park Facebook group. You can also stop by the park and see what is happening.

Enjoy the park at any time

The park is lively throughout the day, especially when people gather to exercise or an event is on. Around sunset, walkers, families, and groups fill the paths and open spaces. It is also an easy stop before the Saturday Walking Street or dinner around the south side of the Old City.

Mats and drinks

If you want to join yoga or another activity, you can bring your own mat or hire one from a small shop in the park. Water and other drinks are sold there too, so you can bring a drink or buy one during your visit.

You do not need to join a class to enjoy the park. Walk around, watch the activities, or take a break before exploring more of the Old City.
