Our recommendation

Our recommendation is to visit the Elephant Rescue Park. Why? Because of our friends has experience working as a guide and visited many different elephant parks and sanctuaries before. Therefore we know some other places are not always as good for the elephant as it seems. Some places only hire elephants for the touristic high season, some elephants don’t get enough rest as tourism goes on day-in-day-out and elephants are not free to roam around where they please. There are stories about elephants having to work in the logging industry, as soon as they are not hired for touristic activities.

We know for sure that the Elephant Rescue Park is a genuine place where is taken well care of the elephants, as you can further read on their website. Please take this information into account if you’re booking at an other camp.

This half day private tour includes pick up / drop-off at your accommodation with an air-conditioned minibus or car, you’ll have an English-speaking tour Guide, Insurance, drinking water, treats for elephants, visit PooPoo Paper Park, uniform for Park activities, snacks, fresh coconut juice and a meal, we have just a added an optional extra to the Stick Waterfall.
