Inside School Coffee's countryside trips

A look back at School Coffee's 2025 journeys through coffee farms and villages in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.

Updated 27 October 2026

School Coffee’s countryside journeys brought coffee lovers closer to the farms, villages and people behind their cup. These photographs capture two trips from Chiang Mai in January 2025: one to Kalayaniwattana District in Chiang Mai Province and another to Wiang Pa Pao in Chiang Rai Province. They are a look back, not current booking offers. For news of future outings, visit School Coffee or its social channels.

From seed to cup

Across the three-day, two-night trips, travellers visited coffee farms, learned about coffee plants and cherries, and followed the work that happens before the beans reach a cup. P’Big and members of the School Coffee team shared their knowledge through picking, processing, roasting, brewing and tasting activities.

There was also time to compare coffees together and share meals in the villages. The trips connected the flavour in a cup with the farms and communities that grow it.

The Chiang Mai journey

From January 10 to 12, 2025, the group travelled to Ban Nong Chet Nui in Kalayaniwattana District. The journey included a coffee garden, seedling planting, a village walking street, cherry picking at Huai Tong, processing workshops and a sunrise outing. The group also visited a local school and brought donated food.

The Chiang Rai journey

The January 24 to 26, 2025 journey went to Baan Huai Nam Kun in Wiang Pa Pao District. Travellers tasted coffee at Rim Tarn Pa Miang, planted seedlings, learned about roasting and drip coffee, picked cherries and visited farm processing areas.

The group also spent time with local schoolchildren and shared meals in the village. A second photo album holds more moments from the trip.
