Royal Park Rajapruek

Gardens, orchids and Lanna architecture at a spacious park southwest of Chiang Mai.

Updated 27 October 2026

Royal Park Rajapruek is a large garden park southwest of Chiang Mai, with flowers, international garden areas and the striking Ho Kham Luang Royal Pavilion. There is room to wander slowly, take photographs, or see more of the grounds by bicycle or park transport.

Gardens and the Royal Pavilion

The park was developed for celebrations connected to King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 2006. Today its themed gardens bring together Thai plants, orchids and displays inspired by other countries. Ho Kham Luang is a highlight: a Lanna-style pavilion set among gardens and broad pathways.

The pavilion looks different as you move through the grounds. From the garden paths you can see its layered roof above the open lawns, ponds and planted borders. It is one of the places that gives the park its distinctive Chiang Mai character.
